Coach is hiring a part-time Sales Associate in Altoona, Iowa (Coach Outlet of Des Moines).

Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as the front-line ambassador of the Coach brand, delivering elevated, personalized customer service in accordance with Coach style and service standards.
  • Build and nurture client relationships through personalised styling, product knowledge, and proactive outreach to drive repeat business and client loyalty.
  • Achieve individual and store sales targets through cross-selling, upselling, tailored recommendations and execution of personal sales plans.
  • Leverage mobile POS, clienteling tools and social selling (including short-form video) to capture client data, process transactions and convert engagement to sales.
  • Support daily store operations: cash wrap, inventory processing, replenishment, visual merchandising and maintaining a presentable sales floor and stockroom.
  • Process in-store and omni-channel transactions (purchases, returns, exchanges, online pickups) efficiently while following POS and asset-protection procedures.
  • Support inventory cycles—receive shipments, stock shelves, manage product movement—and assist teammates across functional areas as required.
  • Maintain professional composure, welcome feedback, participate in brand training and inclusion initiatives, and foster a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of sales experience; luxury retail experience preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proficiency in POS operation and basic computer skills (iPad, laptop, Mobile POS); ability to read price/release sheets and use walkie‑talkies.
  • Strong English language proficiency required.
  • Social‑media savvy with experience in live‑stream shopping or video demos, clienteling and data acquisition preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays.
  • Ability to lift regularly at least 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending and kneeling.

Experience

Minimum of one year in sales, preferably within luxury or fashion retail; demonstrable track record of meeting sales KPIs and building client relationships.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.25 per hour.
