Coach Sales Associate position in Waterloo, New York. Part-time retail role offering luxury brand service, $15–$19.50/hr, with benefits including health insurance and 401(k).
Role & Responsibilities
- Represent Coach as a brand ambassador, adhering to Coach Guide to Style and Service standards and maintaining brand integrity at all times
- Build lasting client relationships through personalized styling, detailed product expertise, and fashion advice tailored to individual customer needs
- Drive sales through strategic cross-selling, upselling, and tailored product recommendations aligned with customer preferences
- Utilize mobile POS, clienteling tools, and social selling platforms including short-form video to capture customer data and encourage repeat purchases
- Develop and execute personal sales plans; consistently meet or exceed individual and team KPIs
- Source new customers, actively maintain relationships, and execute timely follow-up to close sales
- Maintain high energy on the sales floor, skillfully manage multiple customers simultaneously, and adapt selling techniques to evolving business needs
- Execute daily operational tasks including cash wrap, inventory processing, replenishment, and visual merchandising while maintaining service excellence
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor and stockroom; adhere to retail policies, POS procedures, and asset protection protocols
- Process transactions efficiently across purchases, returns, exchanges, and online order pickups
- Support inventory cycles by receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and managing product movement in accordance with inventory management protocols
- Assist teammates across functional areas as required to support store operations
- Foster a collaborative, trust-based team environment and encourage peer performance and engagement
- Participate actively in brand initiatives, training programs, and inclusion activities
- Welcome feedback gracefully, adapt behaviors accordingly, and maintain composure and professionalism in all interactions
Qualifications
- 1 or more years of sales experience; luxury retail background is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of fashion trends and competitive landscape
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer literacy including iPad, laptop, and mobile POS platforms
- Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining high service standards
- Physical capability to lift 25 lb regularly and up to 50 lb occasionally; ability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom
- Strong English language proficiency
- Experience with social media, live-stream shopping, video demonstrations, clienteling techniques, and data acquisition (preferred)
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, peak seasons, and high-traffic retail days including public holidays
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1 year of sales experience required; luxury retail background is strongly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of current fashion trends, competitive awareness, and proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals. Experience with clienteling data capture, social selling platforms, and live-stream shopping is advantageous.
