Coach Sales Associate position in Camarillo, CA. Part-time role offering luxury retail experience, competitive pay ($15–$24.25/hr), and comprehensive benefits including health insurance and 401(k).
Role & Responsibilities
- Represent Coach as a brand ambassador, adhering to the Coach Guide to Style and Service standards and delivering an elevated, personalized shopping experience
- Build lasting client relationships through personalized styling, product expertise, and fashion advice tailored to individual customer needs
- Drive sales through cross-selling, upselling, and tailored product recommendations that enhance customer satisfaction and store revenue
- Utilize mobile POS systems, clienteling tools, and social selling platforms including short-form video to capture customer data and encourage repeat purchases
- Develop and execute personal sales plans; meet or exceed individual and team key performance indicators
- Source new customers, maintain relationships, and follow up proactively to close sales and build long-term loyalty
- Maintain high energy on the sales floor, manage multiple customers simultaneously, and adapt selling techniques to shifting business needs
- Complete daily operational tasks including cash wrap, inventory processing, replenishment, and visual merchandising while maintaining service standards
- Keep sales floor and stockroom clean, organized, and properly stocked; follow all retail policies, point-of-sale procedures, and asset protection protocols
- Process transactions efficiently including purchases, returns, exchanges, and online order pickups
- Support inventory cycles by receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and managing product movement according to store guidelines
- Assist teammates across functional areas as required to ensure seamless store operations
- Foster a collaborative, trust-based team environment and encourage peer performance and accountability
- Participate actively in brand initiatives, training programs, and diversity and inclusion activities
- Welcome constructive feedback, adapt behaviors based on guidance, and maintain a calm, professional demeanor under pressure
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of sales experience, preferably in luxury retail with demonstrated knowledge of fashion trends and competitive landscape
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer competency including iPad, laptop, and mobile POS platforms
- Ability to operate walkie-talkies and read price sheets and product release materials
- Strong English language proficiency required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, peak seasons, and high-traffic retail days including public holidays
- Physical capability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally; ability to climb, bend, kneel, and navigate sales floor and stockroom environments
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1+ years of professional sales experience, preferably within luxury retail environments. Candidates should demonstrate familiarity with fashion industry trends, competitor offerings, and elevated customer service standards. Experience with mobile and digital sales tools, clienteling platforms, and omni-channel retail practices is highly valued. Prior background in luxury retail settings is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college coursework or retail management certification is preferred but not mandatory; a combination of relevant education and professional sales experience will be considered.
