Coach — Temporary Sales Associate (part‑time) in Somerville, MA at Assembly Row. Deliver luxury client service and omnichannel sales.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as an Ambassador for the Coach brand by delivering personalized, elevated customer service in accordance with Coach Guide to Style and Service standards.
  • Develop and maintain lasting client relationships through styling advice, product expertise, and proactive follow-up to drive repeat business.
  • Achieve individual and store sales targets through cross-selling, upselling and tailored recommendations; execute personal sales plans and KPIs.
  • Operate mobile POS and process transactions efficiently for purchases, returns, exchanges and online order pickups.
  • Leverage clienteling tools, mobile devices and social selling (including short‑form video and live‑stream formats) to capture customer data and stimulate acquisition.
  • Support daily store operations including inventory receipt and replenishment, visual merchandising, cash‑wrap duties and maintaining sales‑floor standards.
  • Maintain stockroom and sales floor organisation and adhere to asset‑protection, POS and retail policy procedures.
  • Assist teammates across functional areas as required and contribute to a collaborative, trust‑based team environment.
  • Participate in brand initiatives, training programmes and inclusion activities; accept feedback and adapt behaviours to meet service expectations.
  • Perform physical tasks as required: regularly lift ~25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs; climb, bend and manoeuvre in a retail environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1+ years of sales experience; luxury retail experience preferred. A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
  • Proven comfort with POS operation and basic computer proficiency (iPad/laptop) and ability to read price and release sheets.
  • Experience using clienteling tools and mobile POS systems; familiarity with social selling, live‑stream shopping or video product demos is preferred.
  • Strong English language proficiency.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and peak retail periods.
  • Ability to regularly lift at least 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs) and perform routine physical tasks on the sales floor and in the stockroom.

Experience

At least one year of customer‑facing retail sales experience is required; candidates with luxury or premium fashion experience and a track record of meeting sales targets will be prioritized.
