Temporary Sales Support Associate at Coach, New York — retail operations role at Fifth Avenue flagship location, $15–$21.75/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome clients with warmth and professionalism, anticipate needs, and provide personalized assistance throughout the shopping experience
- Operate POS systems accurately, maintain cash wrap organization, and handle cash and payment media in compliance with company policy
- Process, receive, and organize shipments and transfers; report discrepancies and maintain stockroom cleanliness and organization
- Manage stock levels on the sales floor, replenish merchandise, and execute visual merchandising updates according to brand standards
- Suggest add-on products and complementary items, promote gift cards, and capture customer information where permitted
- Serve as a brand ambassador internally and in the local market; support social media engagement and local community initiatives
- Support sales floor activities, respond to customer requests with confidence, and partner with team members or management as needed
- Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the store and adhere to Loss Prevention guidelines and protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of previous retail experience, preferably in a luxury retail service environment; combination of education and relevant experience considered
- Current knowledge of fashion trends and competitive marketplace positioning
- Proficiency with cash register systems and basic computer skills, including iPad, laptop, Mobile POS, and internet navigation
- Ability to read and understand price sheets, product release information, and utilize walkie talkie communication
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-traffic retail environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), and to climb, bend, kneel, and navigate sales floor and stockroom areas

Experience
Minimum one year of retail experience, preferably in a luxury retail service environment. Experience in cash handling, stockroom operations, and customer-facing sales support is essential. A combination of relevant education and practical experience will be considered.
