Coach in New York seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support operations, lead the team and drive sales in a flagship retail environment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in day-to-day store operations, including opening/closing procedures and visual merchandising standards.
  • Drive sales performance by coaching the team on clienteling, conversion techniques and key product stories to achieve KPIs and store targets.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, scheduling and ongoing development of store staff; provide regular coaching, feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, loss-prevention measures and compliance with company processes and audits.
  • Deliver exceptional luxury client service by resolving escalated customer issues and ensuring consistent brand experience across touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with regional management on promotional initiatives, omnichannel fulfilment (click-and-collect/ship-from-store) and local merchandising plans.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, retail or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in retail, with a track record of coaching teams to meet sales and service objectives.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of retail KPIs, inventory management and loss-prevention practices.
  • Flexible availability to work retail hours including evenings, weekends and peak holiday periods.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a polished client-facing demeanour appropriate for luxury retail.

Experience
