Coach, a global fashion house founded in New York in 1941, seeks a Sales Support Associate to enhance the store's operational efficiency and customer experience. This role requires welcoming clients with warmth and professionalism, managing point-of-sale transactions, processing shipments and inventory, and maintaining visual merchandising standards. The ideal candidate will balance customer service excellence with meticulous attention to store operations, inventory management, and cash handling in compliance with company policy.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome clients with warmth and professionalism; anticipate needs and provide personalized assistance
- Operate POS systems accurately, maintain cash wrap organization, and handle cash and payment media in accordance with company policy
- Suggest add-on products, promote gift cards, and capture customer information where permitted
- Receive, process, and organize shipments and transfers; report discrepancies and maintain stockroom cleanliness
- Manage stock levels, replenish sales floor inventory, and execute visual merchandising updates
- Support sales floor activities and respond to customer requests confidently, partnering with team members and management as needed
- Serve as a brand ambassador internally and in the local community; support social media engagement initiatives
- Maintain housekeeping standards and adhere to Loss Prevention guidelines
Qualifications
- One or more years of previous retail experience (cashier, stock, or sales roles) in a luxury retail service environment
- Current knowledge of fashion trends and competitive landscape
- Proficiency with cash register systems and basic computer skills, including iPad, laptop, mobile POS systems, and internet navigation
- Ability to utilize walkie talkie and understand price and product release sheets
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom safely
Skills
Experience
One or more years of previous retail experience, preferably in a luxury retail service environment. A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
