Coach in Halton Hills, Ontario seeks a part-time Cashier to deliver exceptional checkout service and uphold brand standards.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional and personable checkout experience; greet customers warmly and ensure efficient point-of-sale interactions.
  • Operate POS systems and mobile terminals to process sales, returns, repairs, and gift-card transactions in accordance with company standards.
  • Promote the Insider Program and execute add-on selling techniques to maximise average transaction value.
  • Accurately manage cash, media and reconcile registers; complete end-of-shift audits and report variances to management.
  • Maintain a tidy, well-organized cashwrap; monitor payment equipment and escalate operational issues promptly.
  • Support loss-prevention and compliance protocols, including correct handling of damaged goods and authorized returns.
  • Assist in onboarding, training and mentoring fellow cashiers to sustain service excellence and operational consistency.
  • Perform routine physical tasks on the sales floor and in the stockroom, including lifting up to 25 lbs regularly (occasional lifts up to 50 lbs), bending, climbing and kneeling.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in cashier or retail roles; prior luxury retail experience preferred.
  • Proven proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems, mobile retail technology and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-traffic retail environment and maintain composure during peak periods.
  • Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, public holidays and other peak retail periods as required.
  • Strong English language proficiency.
