Coach seeks a Lead Cashier to oversee point-of-sale operations and customer transactions at the Wrentham location, ensuring seamless checkout experiences and exceptional service standards. This role combines hands-on cashier responsibilities with team leadership, requiring the ability to process transactions accurately, manage cash handling, train team members, and embody Coach's brand values through outstanding customer engagement and operational excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and serve as an Insider Program ambassador while assessing customer needs at the cashwrap and in line
- Engage customers with personalized service solutions and suggestions for add-on purchases and gift card promotions
- Accurately capture and securely manage customer information and payment data
- Process transactions efficiently using POS systems, handling cash, card payments, and digital media with precision
- Complete end-of-shift audits and reconciliations; process returns, repairs, and damaged items in accordance with company policy
- Maintain SKU accuracy, cashwrap organization, inventory stock levels, and cleanliness standards
- Train and mentor cashier team members on procedures, systems, and service protocols
- Report equipment issues and coordinate with management on operational resolutions
- Handle high-volume transactions during peak periods and holiday seasons while maintaining composure and prioritization
- Demonstrate integrity, ownership, and collaborative spirit with colleagues and management
- Represent Coach as a brand ambassador, adhering to the Coach Guide to Style and Service standards
Qualifications
- 1+ years of sales experience in luxury retail or equivalent
- Proficiency with POS systems and mobile point-of-sale technology (iPad, laptop, Mobile POS)
- Basic computer proficiency and competency with retail management tools
- Demonstrated knowledge of fashion trends and competitive landscape
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize in fast-paced retail environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence customer decisions
- Physical capability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, peak seasons, and public holidays as needed

1+ years of sales experience in luxury retail or a combination of education and retail experience
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; a combination of relevant retail education and hands-on experience will be considered
