The Lead Cashier delivers exceptional checkout service at Coach, promotes the Insider Program, add-on sales, and gift cards, and ensures accurate cash handling and compliant operations. The role processes returns, repairs, and damaged goods, maintains the cashwrap, supports equipment monitoring, and trains cashiers. Part-time; base pay is $15.00–$19.50 per hour.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service at checkout, greet customers warmly, and create a lasting impression.
- Represent the Insider Program and promote add-on sales and gift cards.
- Handle cash and media accurately and comply with all policies.
- Process returns, repairs, and damaged goods according to company standards; complete end-of-shift audits with management.
- Keep the cashwrap organized and clean, monitor equipment, and promptly report issues.
- Assist with training and mentoring cashiers to uphold service and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with POS systems, mobile technology, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong English language proficiency.
- Flexible availability for nights, weekends, peak season, high-traffic retail days, and public holidays.
- Ability to regularly lift at least 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.; climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom.

Experience
At least 1 year in cashier or retail roles; luxury retail experience preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
