Coach (Tapestry) is hiring a Lead Cashier in Norfolk, VA — full-time retail role delivering cashwrap leadership, POS operations and customer service.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional, on-brand service at the cashwrap: greet customers, manage queues, and act as an Insider Program ambassador.
  • Execute accurate and secure transactions across POS systems, including Mobile POS, and handle cash/media precisely.
  • Complete end-of-shift audits and process returns, repairs and damaged-item workflows in accordance with policy.
  • Promote add‑ons, gift cards and relevant services while influencing customer purchase decisions with clear, confident communication.
  • Maintain SKU accuracy, cashwrap organisation, and retail floor cleanliness; report equipment issues promptly.
  • Assist with cashier training and act as a subject-matter resource on store policies, product knowledge and service standards.
  • Operate under pressure: multitask, prioritise effectively and adapt service to the needs of individual customers and the store environment.
  • Represent Coach by adhering to the Coach Guide to Style and Service standards and demonstrating integrity, ownership and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of sales or cashier experience; luxury retail experience preferred.
  • Proven experience operating POS systems, Mobile POS, iPad and laptop-based sales tools; comfortable using walkie-talkies.
  • Ability to read and apply price and release sheets and follow cash-handling and returns procedures.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work in a fast-paced retail environment and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays; ability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs).
  • Strong English language proficiency.

Experience
