Lead Cashier at Coach in Halton Hills, Ontario. Luxury retail POS and customer service role, $19–$22/hr CAD.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and act as an Insider Program ambassador
  • Engage customers at the cashwrap and in-store lines; assess their needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Capture customer information accurately and securely
  • Complete end-of-shift audits; process returns, repairs, and damaged items in accordance with store policy
  • Maintain SKU accuracy, cashwrap organization, and cleanliness standards
  • Suggest add-ons and promote gift cards to enhance customer transactions
  • Handle cash and payment media accurately; deliver purchases appropriately
  • Assist with cashier training and report equipment issues promptly
  • Demonstrate integrity, ownership, and collaboration in all interactions
  • Remain composed under pressure; multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Communicate clearly and confidently; influence customer decisions positively
  • Adapt service delivery to customer needs while maintaining awareness of store environment
  • Stay current with product knowledge, store policies, and POS procedures
  • Represent Coach according to the Coach Guide to Style and Service standards

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience; luxury retail experience preferred
  • Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer skills (iPad, laptop, mobile POS)
  • Experience using walkie-talkies and ability to read price and release sheets
  • Strong English language proficiency
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally; comfortable climbing, bending, kneeling, and maneuvering sales floor and stockroom
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasons, and high-traffic retail days including public holidays

Experience

1+ years of sales experience required; luxury retail experience preferred. Knowledge of fashion trends and competitors is advantageous. Experience in fast-paced retail environments essential.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 19 to CAD 22 per hour.
