Coach is hiring a Sales Support Associate I in New York, NY — support store operations, inventory and client service for a leading luxury brand.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support daily store operations including receiving, unpacking and merchandising new inventory according to brand standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, stock replenishment and coordination with corporate inventory systems.
- Assist the sales team by preparing merchandise, staging visual displays and ensuring the salesfloor reflects current visual merchandising directives.
- Provide back-of-house client service support such as gift wrapping, order fulfillment, returns and exchanges in accordance with brand policies.
- Operate point-of-sale systems and accurately process transactions, refunds and exchanges while ensuring cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures are followed.
- Keep the stockroom organized, label inventory correctly and coordinate with store management on stock transfers and markdowns.
- Collaborate with store leadership to prioritize tasks during peak periods and support special events or promotional activations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrable strong customer-service orientation and professional presentation consistent with a luxury retail environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with stockroom duties, including lifting and moving merchandise.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings and seasonal peaks.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability in executing operational and merchandising standards.
Skills
Experience
Preferably 0–2 years of retail or inventory experience; prior experience in luxury or premium-brand retail is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
