Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the design, delivery and operational evolution of AWS-based, cloud-native commerce and platform services, including scalable APIs and microservices.
- Define and drive adoption of AI-enabled capabilities—such as personalization, search, generative AI and conversational agents—across customer and enterprise products.
- Own platform engineering practices: API-first integration, event-driven patterns, modular architectures and composable commerce.
- Establish and enforce CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, DevOps and SDLC governance to improve engineering velocity, quality and reliability.
- Partner with Brand, Digital, Product, Data & Analytics, and IT stakeholders to align technology roadmaps with business objectives.
- Manage vendor relationships, third-party integrations and platform vendor selection to ensure delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead, hire and develop engineering teams; run regular operational and strategic reviews with engineering and business stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software or platform engineering with 3+ years in leadership or people-management roles.
- Proven experience building and operating applications on AWS or equivalent cloud platforms and driving cloud modernization.
- Demonstrated track record delivering eCommerce, omnichannel or retail-facing platforms and integrations.
- Experience deploying AI/ML capabilities to production and partnering with data/analytics teams to operationalize models.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud security and governance.
- Practical knowledge of API-first design, microservices, event-driven architectures and platform transformation initiatives.

Experience
At least 8 years in software or platform engineering with a minimum of 3 years in leadership roles; demonstrable experience delivering cloud-native, AWS-based commerce platforms, microservices, CI/CD, and integrating AI/ML into production environments.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline; advanced degree (MS/MBA) preferred.
