Coach is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in New York, NY to lead sales, operations and client experiences at a flagship boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and KPIs through daily coaching and performance management of the sales team.
- Deliver exceptional client experiences and drive clienteling initiatives to grow loyalty and repeat business.
- Oversee day-to-day store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, stock management and visual merchandising to maintain brand standards.
- Recruit, train and develop sales associates; create schedules and manage staffing levels to meet business needs.
- Monitor inventory, conduct stock counts and collaborate on loss-prevention measures to protect company assets.
- Analyze sales reports, traffic and conversion metrics to identify opportunities and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, health & safety regulations and local labor laws.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in a retail supervisory role, preferably within luxury or premium fashion.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to lead, coach and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Flexible availability including weekends, evenings and holidays as required by retail trading patterns.

Experience
Typically requires at least 2 years of supervisory or assistant management experience in retail, with preference for candidates from luxury or premium fashion environments and a proven ability to drive sales and develop teams.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; diploma or degree in retail management, business or a related field is preferred.
