The Barista prepares handcrafted beverages and delivers memorable guest experiences while supporting store sales, product knowledge, and visual standards at Coach’s Hudson Yards coffee shop in New York. The role requires a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, busy season, high-traffic retail days, and public holidays.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests warmly, creating memorable experiences.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu, merchandise, and Coach brand heritage.
- Meet sales goals by promoting beverages, food, and merchandise; customize orders and highlight items with limited availability.
- Support floor sets, replenishment, and visual merchandising.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards; operate espresso machines, grinders, and ovens to prepare handcrafted beverages.
- Collaborate with team members to solve problems and share selling strategies.
Qualifications
- Prior barista or café experience preferred.
- Experience in customer-facing roles and delegating tasks.
- Organizational skills and the ability to work with food and beverage operating systems.
- Ability to meet store operating policies and standards, including food safety and cash handling.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, busy season, high-traffic retail days, and public holidays.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom.
