Coach — New York, NY: Cashier. Deliver premium client service, operate POS and maintain cash accuracy for the Coach retail store.
Role & Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process sales, returns, exchanges and gift transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain and reconcile the cash drawer during and at the end of each shift; prepare deposits and follow cash-handling procedures.
- Deliver exceptional client service: greet customers, respond to queries, support personal shopping and promote brand loyalty.
- Follow loss-prevention protocols and company policies to protect merchandise, cash and customer data.
- Support visual merchandising standards and maintain a tidy, well-presented checkout and sales floor area.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking and restocking merchandise as directed and support inventory control activities.
- Perform opening and closing procedures, including register start-up/shutdown and end-of-day reporting.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Demonstrated trustworthiness and strong numeracy for accurate cash handling.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; polished client-facing manner.
- Availability to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks such as lifting and restocking.

Experience
Typically 1+ years of retail or cashier experience is preferred; prior experience in premium or luxury retail environments is highly desirable.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
