Coach is hiring an Assistant Store Manager I in New York, NY — lead boutique operations, client experience and sales performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and KPIs through frontline leadership and day‑to‑day operational oversight.
- Coach, develop and schedule sales associates to maintain high standards of client service and product knowledge.
- Drive personalised clienteling and CRM activity to cultivate repeat business and grow VIP relationships.
- Ensure consistent visual merchandising, brand presentation and store standards in line with corporate directives.
- Manage inventory accuracy, stock replenishment, receiving and basic loss‑prevention procedures.
- Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, daily reconciliations and adherence to operational policies.
- Assist with recruiting, on‑boarding and performance reviews; act as acting manager in the Store Manager’s absence.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in retail, preferably within premium or luxury brands.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving team performance.
- Strong leadership, coaching and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer‑centric mindset.
- Flexibility to work retail hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Experience
Typically 2+ years of supervisory or assistant managerial experience in retail, ideally with exposure to luxury or premium brand operations and measurable sales responsibility.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, fashion, retail management or related field preferred.
