Coach in New York is hiring a Sales Support Associate to deliver clienteling, inventory and POS support in a luxury retail environment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day sales floor and back-office support to retail sales teams to maximise client service and store productivity.
  • Maintain clienteling activities: manage client records, follow up on enquiries, coordinate appointments and personalised outreach to high-value clients.
  • Process sales transactions, exchanges and returns accurately through the point-of-sale system and ensure proper cash and transaction controls.
  • Coordinate stock management: receive and reconcile shipments, replenish floor inventory, execute transfers, and support stocktakes.
  • Support visual merchandising standards by maintaining product presentation and assisting with seasonal floor moves and window installations.
  • Prepare sales reports and KPI summaries for store management, monitor performance metrics and support action plans to improve conversion and average transaction value.
  • Liaise with operations, e‑commerce and distribution teams to resolve order issues, special requests and client escalations.
  • Coach and mentor junior sales staff on procedures, client service standards and loss-prevention protocols when required.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in luxury or premium retail support, clienteling or in-store operations, preferably within leather goods or accessories.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for client relationship management and a disciplined approach to sales administration and inventory control.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with professional presentation and discretion when handling high-net-worth clients.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Availability to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends and seasonal peaks.

Experience

Minimum three years of progressive experience supporting sales teams in luxury or premium retail environments, with proven competence in clienteling, stock control and transactional accuracy.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary studies in retail management, business or visual merchandising preferred.
