Coach Sales Associate in Chicago – luxury retail role blending brand ambassadorship, personalized client service, and omni-channel selling. $15–$24.25/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Represent Coach as a brand ambassador, adhering to the Coach Guide to Style and Service standards
- Build lasting client relationships through personalized styling, product expertise, and fashion advice
- Drive sales through cross-selling, upselling, and tailored recommendations
- Utilize mobile POS, clienteling tools, and social selling platforms to capture customer data and encourage repeat purchases
- Develop and execute personal sales plans; meet or exceed individual and team KPIs
- Source new customers, maintain relationships, and follow up to close sales
- Manage multiple customers simultaneously while maintaining high energy and adapting selling techniques to business needs
- Complete daily operational tasks including cash wrap, inventory processing, replenishment, and visual merchandising
- Maintain sales floor and stockroom organization; follow retail policies, POS procedures, and asset protection standards
- Process transactions efficiently including purchases, returns, exchanges, and online order pickups
- Support inventory cycles including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and managing product movement
- Foster a collaborative, trust-based team environment and encourage overall team performance
- Participate in brand initiatives, training programs, and inclusion activities
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of sales experience, with luxury retail background preferred
- Knowledge of current fashion trends and competitive market landscape
- Proficiency with POS systems, mobile POS platforms, iPad/laptop operation, and walkie-talkie use
- Ability to read price sheets and release materials accurately
- Strong English language proficiency
- Physical capacity to lift 25 lb regularly (up to 50 lb occasionally), climb, bend, kneel, and navigate sales floor and stockroom
- Experience with clienteling and customer data acquisition
- Social media savvy and familiarity with live-stream shopping or video demonstrations preferred
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1+ years of sales experience, preferably in a luxury retail environment. Experience with POS systems, basic computer proficiency, and familiarity with retail inventory and asset protection procedures required. A combination of relevant education and practical sales experience will be considered.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; a combination of education and practical retail sales experience will be considered.
