Coach in New York (SoHo) seeks a Temporary Sales Support Associate (part‑time) to operate POS, manage stockroom and execute visual merchandising.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Greet clients warmly, anticipate needs and deliver personalized customer service at the sales floor and cash wrap.
  • Operate point‑of‑sale systems accurately, manage cash/media per policy, and promote add‑ons such as gift cards.
  • Receive, process and organize shipments and transfers; report inventory discrepancies and maintain a tidy stockroom.
  • Replenish stock levels on the sales floor and execute visual merchandising updates to brand standards.
  • Support in‑store marketing and social engagement as a local brand ambassador.
  • Adhere to Loss Prevention guidelines and maintain housekeeping standards throughout the store.
  • Assist the sales team with customer requests, including cross‑selling and capturing client information where permitted.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1+ year of retail experience (cashier, stock or sales experience preferred), ideally within a luxury or premium retail environment; combination of education and experience considered.
  • Proven cash‑handling and POS operation experience with strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with fashion trends and competitor activity in the marketplace.
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills; strong English proficiency.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced retail environment and to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and peak periods.
  • Physical ability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs, and to climb, bend and maneuver throughout the sales floor and stockroom.

Experience
