Coach in New York seeks a Lead Cashier to oversee register operations, cash control and cashier team in a luxury retail environment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead daily register operations and ensure accurate, efficient point-of-sale transactions across assigned shifts.
  • Supervise, coach and develop cashier staff; assign registers and manage break coverage to maintain service levels.
  • Perform cash handling duties including drawer set-up, reconciliation, deposits and variance investigation; enforce cash-control policies.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot POS hardware/software and coordinate with store management and IT for technical issues.
  • Execute loss-prevention procedures, monitor transactions for fraud or policy exceptions and escalate discrepancies.
  • Prepare and submit end-of-day reports, sales summaries and cash balancing documentation to store management.
  • Support opening and closing procedures, merchandising resets and client service initiatives during peak periods.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership capability in a retail environment with experience supervising or mentoring frontline staff.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and integrity in cash handling and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Excellent customer service orientation with the ability to de-escalate issues and represent a luxury brand.
  • Flexible availability including weekends, evenings and holiday periods.

Experience
