Coach seeks a detail-oriented Cashier to deliver exceptional customer service at the checkout in a dynamic luxury retail environment. This temporary position requires accuracy in cash handling, payment processing, and operational compliance, whilst serving as a brand ambassador and promoting the Insider Program. The ideal candidate will possess retail experience, proficiency with POS systems, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service at checkout by greeting customers warmly and creating a lasting impression aligned with Coach Service standards
- Act as an ambassador for the Insider Program by promoting add-on sales, gift cards, and customer enrollment
- Maintain accuracy in cash handling, media management, and strict compliance with all operational policies
- Process returns, repairs, and damaged goods according to company standards; complete end-of-shift audits with management
- Keep the cashwrap organized and clean; monitor equipment and report maintenance issues promptly
- Assist in training and mentoring fellow cashiers to uphold service excellence and operational integrity
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in cashier or retail roles; luxury retail experience preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems, mobile technology, and basic computer applications
- Strong English language proficiency
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally); capability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak season, and high-traffic retail days
Skills
Experience
1+ years in cashier or retail roles; luxury retail experience preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
