Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute accurate point-of-sale transactions including cash, card and alternative tenders while ensuring strict adherence to cash-handling procedures and tender reconciliation.
  • Deliver personalised, luxury-level client service and clienteling to build long-term relationships and drive repeat business.
  • Process returns, exchanges and refunds in accordance with company policy and maintain detailed transaction records.
  • Support visual merchandising standards around the checkout area and ensure the sales floor and back-of-house are neat, secure and replenished.
  • Perform drawer counts, prepare deposits and reconcile discrepancies at shift change; escalate irregularities to store management.
  • Comply with loss-prevention, security and cash-control procedures, participating in audits as required.
  • Assist with store opening and closing duties, team handovers and ad-hoc operational tasks to support smooth store functioning.
  • Communicate product knowledge and current promotions to clients; coordinate with sales associates to optimise conversion and average transaction value.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience handling cash and operating point-of-sale systems; 2+ years retail or cashier experience preferred, luxury retail experience advantageous.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and reliability in tender reconciliation and drawer management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an aptitude for delivering high-quality client service in a premium retail environment.
  • Availability to work flexible retail hours including evenings, weekends and holidays; ability to stand for extended periods.
