Coach Barista role in Glendale, Arizona — serve specialty beverages and drive retail sales in a luxury café setting. Part-time, $15–$18/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and create memorable café experiences through attentive, personalized service
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of beverage menu, food offerings, merchandise, and Coach brand heritage
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and ovens to prepare handcrafted specialty beverages and food items
- Meet and exceed individual and store sales goals by promoting premium beverages, food items, and Coach merchandise; highlight limited-availability offerings
- Support visual merchandising initiatives, floor sets, and product replenishment to maintain brand standards
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and cash handling procedures
- Collaborate effectively with team members to troubleshoot operational challenges and share selling strategies
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally, as well as climbing, bending, kneeling, and navigating sales floor and stockroom areas
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a barista or in a café setting (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in customer-facing service roles
- Familiarity with food and beverage point-of-sale operating systems
- Knowledge of food safety and cash handling best practices
- Physical capability to lift 25–50 lbs regularly and occasionally, climb, bend, and kneel
Skills
Experience
Prior experience working as a barista or in a café environment is preferred. Experience in customer-facing roles and ability to delegate tasks within a team setting is required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; no formal certification required.
