Coach seeks an Assistant Store Manager in New York, NY — lead sales, coach teams and deliver exceptional client experiences.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and store KPIs through coaching, floor leadership and proactive selling.
  • Lead, develop and motivate the sales team; conduct daily briefings, performance feedback and on‑the‑job training focused on clienteling and conversion.
  • Deliver outstanding client experiences by implementing Coach’s clienteling standards and ensuring personalized service for high‑value customers.
  • Oversee store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, deposits and reconciliation to maintain operational integrity.
  • Manage merchandising and visual standards: execute floor moves, stock replenishment and seasonal sets to optimize sell‑through.
  • Control inventory and loss prevention: coordinate stock counts, receive shipments and enforce shrinkage mitigation protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with brand policies, health & safety regulations and local labour laws; act as store escalation for customer issues and incidents.

Qualifications

  • Proven retail leadership experience in luxury or premium fashion, with progressive responsibility leading teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach sales associates to achieve targets and improve conversion metrics.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing inventory, cash procedures and basic P&L awareness.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building long‑term client relationships.
  • Flexibility to work retail hours including evenings, weekends and peak seasonal periods.
