Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with attentiveness, communicate information about promotions and new offerings, answer questions about coffee origins and preparation, and process orders and payments with efficiency
- Grind and blend coffee beans to precise specifications, brew espresso-based beverages and specialty teas, and serve drinks according to Coach Café standards
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness of the work station and dining area, sanitize equipment and utensils, manage refuse disposal, and ensure compliance with all food safety regulations
- Update signage and displays to highlight new menu items and seasonal offerings, and maintain visual merchandising of the café experience
- Conduct inventory audits, replenish display cases and back-of-house stock, and communicate inventory needs to management
- Continuously expand knowledge of coffee varieties, roasting profiles, and brewing methodologies through self-directed learning and professional development
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional food and beverage preparation experience
- Professional barista training or coffee certification preferred
- Deep passion for coffee with ability to articulate the narrative and characteristics of coffee origins and processing
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning in coffee bean knowledge and brewing techniques
- Exceptional listening and communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese
- Refined interpersonal manner and ability to engage guests with warmth and professionalism
