Coach Barista position in Leawood, Kansas. Part-time role serving handcrafted beverages and driving retail sales. $15–$18/hour.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests warmly, creating memorable experiences and building lasting customer relationships
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu items, Coach merchandise, and brand heritage to enhance customer engagement
- Meet and exceed sales goals by promoting beverages, food, and merchandise while customizing orders and highlighting limited-availability items
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and ovens to prepare handcrafted beverages to quality standards
- Support floor sets, replenishment, and visual merchandising to maintain Coach brand standards
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety standards, and compliance with operational policies including cash handling procedures
- Collaborate with team members to solve problems, share selling strategies, and deliver cohesive customer service
- Lift and maneuver merchandise and supplies, including regular lifting of up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs; climb, bend, kneel as required for sales floor and stockroom duties
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a barista or in a café setting
- Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles and task delegation
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency with food and beverage operating systems
- Ability to meet store operating policies and standards, including food safety and cash handling
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and maneuver sales floor and stockroom environments
- Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, busy seasons, and high-traffic retail days including public holidays
Skills
Experience
Prior experience as a barista or in a café setting preferred. Experience in customer-facing roles and delegating tasks required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 18 per hour.
