Coach seeks a Barista to deliver exceptional guest experiences and drive sales performance at a luxury café within a retail location. The role encompasses beverage preparation using espresso machines and specialty equipment, merchandise promotion, and visual merchandising support, alongside maintaining rigorous operational and food safety standards. The successful candidate will engage guests warmly, leverage product knowledge, and collaborate closely with team members to achieve sales objectives.

Role & Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests warmly, creating memorable experiences and establishing rapport
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of café menu, merchandise, and Coach brand heritage
• Meet and exceed sales goals by actively promoting beverages, food items, and merchandise; customize orders and highlight limited-availability offerings
• Prepare handcrafted beverages using espresso machines, grinders, ovens, and related café equipment
• Support floor sets, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising initiatives to maintain brand standards
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to all food safety protocols and cash handling procedures
• Collaborate with team members to solve operational challenges and share effective selling strategies
• Work flexibly across nights, weekends, peak seasons, and high-traffic retail days as required

Qualifications

• Prior barista or café experience preferred
• Experience in customer-facing roles with proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with point-of-sale and food and beverage operating systems
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly (up to 50 lbs. occasionally); capacity to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom
• Demonstrated ability to meet store operating policies and standards, including food safety and cash handling compliance

Skills

Experience

Prior experience as a barista or in a café setting is preferred. Customer-facing experience and demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced retail environments with flexible scheduling requirements are essential.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 18 per hour.
