Coach (Tapestry) seeks a part-time Barista in Glendale, AZ (Westgate) to prepare handcrafted beverages and deliver premium guest service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences through warm greetings, attentive service and personalised beverage recommendations.
- Prepare handcrafted coffee and specialty beverages using espresso machines, grinders and ovens; ensure consistent product quality.
- Drive store sales by promoting beverages, food and select merchandise; customise orders and highlight limited or seasonal items.
- Maintain visual merchandising and replenishment standards for café fixtures and merchandise displays.
- Ensure operational excellence by maintaining cleanliness, following food safety standards and performing cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with store team members to solve problems, share selling strategies and support peak-period operations.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a barista or in a café setting preferred.
- Proven customer-facing experience with strong interpersonal and selling skills.
- Familiarity with food & beverage operating systems and adherence to food safety procedures.
- Ability to follow store operating policies, perform cash handling and meet visual merchandising standards.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, public holidays and high-traffic retail periods.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and perform physically active tasks on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
Skills
Experience
Prior barista or café experience is preferred; demonstrable experience in customer-facing retail or food & beverage roles is required to support sales and guest service expectations.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) or equivalent training is advantageous.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 18 per hour.
