Coach Barista position in Elizabeth, New Jersey—part-time café role blending beverage expertise, customer service, and retail sales at Jersey Gardens.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist guests warmly while creating memorable retail experiences
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the coffee menu, food offerings, merchandise, and Coach brand heritage
  • Prepare handcrafted beverages using espresso machines, grinders, and ovens to exacting standards
  • Meet sales goals by promoting beverages, food items, and Coach merchandise; customize orders and highlight limited-availability items
  • Support floor sets, inventory replenishment, and visual merchandising standards throughout the café
  • Maintain cleanliness, food safety compliance, and proper cash handling procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to solve operational problems and share effective selling strategies
  • Lift and move materials weighing up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally; climb, bend, kneel, and navigate sales floor and stockroom areas

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working as a barista or in a café setting
  • Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles with task delegation capability
  • Proficiency with food and beverage point-of-sale operating systems
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and cash handling protocols
  • Physical ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
