Coach seeks a Temporary Barista at Woodbury Common Coffee Shop in New York. Hourly role ($15–$18/hr + tips) with benefits including health insurance and paid leave.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests with warmth and authenticity, identifying opportunities to create memorable and engaging experiences
- Prepare and serve handcrafted beverages using espresso machines, grinders, and ovens, following recipe standards and customer preferences including alternative milk options and customizations
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu offerings, merchandise, and Coach brand heritage to communicate product quality and craft
- Meet individual and store sales goals by identifying upselling opportunities and promoting limited-availability items
- Support floor sets, replenishment, and visual merchandising standards throughout the shop
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workplace, ensuring strict adherence to sanitation and food safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to solve problems and ensure seamless guest experiences, sharing selling strategies and celebrating collective wins
- Handle transactions and cash management with accuracy
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a barista or in a café setting
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash
- Proven ability to work with food and beverage operating systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry items regularly up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs)
- Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work as part of a team

Experience
Prior experience as a barista or in a café setting is preferred; demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact effectively with diverse clientele.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; formal barista certification is beneficial but not required.
