Coach, the iconic American fashion house founded in New York in 1941, seeks a Barista to deliver exceptional customer experiences at its Allen Coffee Shop and drive sales performance through professional brand representation. This role combines specialized beverage preparation with retail merchandise selling and visual merchandising, requiring deep product knowledge across both the café menu and Coach's curated collection.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests warmly, creating memorable and personalized experiences
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu offerings, merchandise, and Coach brand heritage
- Meet and exceed sales targets by promoting beverages, food, and merchandise; customize orders and highlight limited-availability items
- Support floor sets, merchandise replenishment, and visual merchandising standards
- Maintain rigorous cleanliness and food safety standards; operate espresso machines, grinders, and ovens to prepare handcrafted beverages
- Collaborate with team members to solve operational challenges and share selling strategies
- Lift and maneuver merchandise and supplies up to 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally); climb, bend, kneel as needed for sales floor and stockroom operations
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a barista or in a café setting preferred
- Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency with food and beverage operating systems
- Ability to comply with store operating policies, food safety regulations, and cash handling procedures
- Physical capability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, busy seasons, and high-traffic retail days
