Coach in New York seeks an Assistant Store Manager to lead sales, coach teams and deliver luxury client service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and KPIs through daily coaching, floor leadership and proactive clientelling.
- Lead, train and develop sales associates to deliver exceptional luxury customer service and to maximize conversion and average transaction value.
- Oversee store operations including visual merchandising, inventory control, stock replenishment and accurate cash handling procedures.
- Manage staff scheduling, payroll-related tasks and ensure compliance with company policies and loss prevention procedures.
- Use CRM and POS systems to track client activity, follow up on leads and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Drive local marketing and events execution in partnership with the Store Manager to build brand awareness and client acquisition.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership capability with the ability to motivate a retail team and influence performance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on delivering a luxury client experience.
- Organizational rigor and attention to detail in operations, merchandising and inventory management.
- Ability to analyze sales metrics and translate insights into actionable coaching and floor strategies.
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays, and the capacity to work retail hours as required.
Skills
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of progressive retail experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant management capacity, preferably within a premium or luxury fashion environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, retail management or a related field preferred.
