Coach seeks an Assistant Store Manager at its NYC flagship on Fifth Avenue to drive sales, operations, and team development in a luxury retail environment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive sales performance and achieve KPI targets by supporting the Store Manager in forecasting, planning, and implementing category initiatives aligned with Coach's strategic goals
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences that reflect Coach's service standards while creating an inclusive, high-energy retail environment
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop team members; foster collaborative culture and build a strong talent pipeline aligned with brand vision and values
  • Execute omni-channel initiatives including virtual shopping support, clienteling strategies, and customer data acquisition; leverage social media trends to enhance customer engagement
  • Oversee operational compliance including HR processes, scheduling, payroll management, loss prevention, visual merchandising standards, and store safety protocols
  • Collaborate with district and corporate leadership to interpret market trends, shape store strategies, and drive cross-functional projects
  • Act as a brand ambassador both in-store and in the community, resolving customer issues promptly and maintaining vendor relationships

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1+ years of leadership experience in retail or service industries
  • Proven ability to inspire and motivate teams to exceed performance standards
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong customer focus and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems
  • Knowledge of omni-channel services and clienteling strategies
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and maneuver sales floor and stockroom
  • Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, peak seasons, and high-traffic retail days
