Coach Assistant Store Manager in New York, NY — lead sales, clienteling and store operations for the luxury brand Coach.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive store sales and KPIs through daily coaching, performance management and targeted selling initiatives.
- Lead clientelling activities to cultivate long-term relationships with high-value clients and maximise repeat business.
- Manage store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, loss prevention and POS reconciliation.
- Execute visual merchandising and store presentation to brand standards, collaborating with regional visual teams when required.
- Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment and cycle counts to maintain product availability and reduce shrink.
- Create staff schedules, coordinate training, and support talent development and succession planning at store level.
- Handle customer escalations with diplomacy, ensuring swift resolution while protecting brand integrity.
- Support administrative tasks such as sales reporting, payroll inputs and compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership ability with strong people-management and coaching skills.
- Outstanding customer-service orientation and aptitude for luxury client engagement.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and inspire a sales team.
- Flexible availability including weekends, evenings and holiday periods.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Skills
Experience
Typically 2–4 years of retail experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant manager role; prior experience in luxury fashion, accessories or premium retail strongly preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, retail management or a related field preferred.
