Coach is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in New York, NY to drive sales, coach a luxury retail team and uphold brand standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and weekly/monthly KPIs through hands-on leadership and active selling.
- Coach, develop and motivate sales associates; run daily huddles, performance reviews and on-the-job training to elevate client service.
- Deliver exceptional clienteling: build and maintain relationships with high-value clients, manage follow-ups and ensure personalized service.
- Ensure store visual merchandising and presentation meet brand standards and implement seasonal floor moves and displays.
- Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, receiving and cycle counts to minimize shrink and ensure product availability.
- Manage day-to-day store operations including scheduling, cash handling, POS transactions, deposit preparation and adherence to loss-prevention procedures.
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding and retention initiatives; maintain a positive, inclusive team culture focused on development.
- Compile and analyze sales and labor reports; recommend actions to optimize conversion, average transaction value and staffing levels.
Qualifications
- Proven retail supervisory experience, preferably in luxury fashion or accessories.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing store KPIs.
- Strong leadership and coaching ability with experience developing front-line retail talent.
- Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holiday periods.

Experience
Typically 2+ years of progressive retail experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity; prior experience in a luxury or premium retail environment is highly preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, retail management or related field preferred.
