Coach is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in New York, NY — lead sales, team development and store operations for a leading luxury leather-goods brand.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in driving sales and achieving store KPIs through targeted coaching, clienteling and promotional execution.
  • Lead daily store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, merchandising standards and inventory control.
  • Coach, develop and schedule store staff; lead training initiatives to elevate selling skills, product knowledge and customer service.
  • Ensure visual merchandising and presentation standards are maintained to brand guidelines; execute floor moves and merchandising resets.
  • Monitor and manage shrinkage and loss-prevention protocols; enforce compliance with operational and safety policies.
  • Analyze sales and performance reports to identify opportunities, create action plans and communicate results to district leadership.
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience, handle escalated guest service issues and cultivate long-term relationships with high-value customers.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and people-management skills with ability to coach, motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong commercial orientation with experience meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for clienteling, luxury customer service and relationship-building.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to operational detail (inventory, cash procedures, loss prevention).
  • Ability to interpret sales reports and translate data into actionable store-level plans.

Experience
