Coach is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in New York, NY — lead sales, coach teams and deliver luxury client experiences at Coach.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in driving sales performance and achieving store KPIs, including conversion, average transaction value and sell-through.
- Lead, coach and develop sales associates through on‑the‑floor mentoring, performance feedback and formal training sessions.
- Deliver exemplary clienteling and customer service standards; personally handle VIP and high-value client interactions.
- Oversee daily store operations: opening/closing procedures, cash handling, POS reconciliations and visual merchandising standards.
- Manage inventory accuracy, stock replenishment and receiving; collaborate on loss-prevention protocols and shrink control.
- Assist with staff scheduling, payroll submissions and labor optimization to align with business needs.
- Implement brand directives and merchandising plans to maintain consistent in-store presentation and product storytelling.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in business, fashion or related field preferred.
- Minimum three years of luxury or specialty retail experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing retail teams.
- Flexible availability including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a client-first mentality and polished presentation.

At least three years in retail, with demonstrated supervisory or assistant management experience in luxury, premium or specialty retail environments; proven ability to drive sales and develop associates.
Education
