Coach Assistant Store Manager in New York — lead retail operations, coach the sales team and deliver luxury client experiences.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in driving sales, achieving KPIs and delivering an elevated client experience consistent with Coach brand standards.
- Coach, develop and schedule front‑line retail staff; lead by example on selling techniques, clienteling and service recovery.
- Manage daily store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, POS reconciliation and banking protocols.
- Oversee inventory control: receive and process stock, execute cycle counts, investigate shrink and enforce loss‑prevention measures.
- Execute visual merchandising plans and ensure presentation standards, promotional rollouts and product placement are maintained.
- Analyse sales metrics and labour productivity to make staffing and merchandising recommendations; support store-level planning.
- Act as on‑floor escalation for client complaints and complex transactions; liaise with regional teams for operational resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, safety regulations and brand governance in daily activities.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience in retail, preferably within luxury or premium fashion brands.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing retail teams.
- Strong numeracy and organisational skills; comfortable with cash reconciliation and basic financial reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset and the ability to resolve escalated service issues tactfully.
- Availability to work flexible retail hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Experience
Typically 3+ years of progressive retail experience with at least 12 months in a supervisory or assistant management role; experience in luxury or premium apparel/accessories strongly preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, retail management or a related discipline preferred.
