Coach Assistant Store Manager I in Markham, Ontario – retail operations & team leadership role at Markville Shopping Center.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day store operations and sales floor management
- Assist in managing stockroom inventory and merchandise organization
- Provide leadership support to sales team members
- Ensure customer service excellence and satisfaction
- Maintain store presentation and visual merchandising standards
- Participate in staff scheduling and training initiatives
- Handle cash management and point-of-sale operations
- Report to Store Manager on operational metrics and performance
Qualifications
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally)
- Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver on sales floor and stockroom
- Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated drive for results and performance excellence
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Capacity to handle ambiguity and adapt to change
- Prior retail management or supervisory experience preferred

Experience
Prior supervisory or management experience in retail is preferred; however, strong retail experience with demonstrated leadership potential may be considered.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; further retail management training or certification is advantageous.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 27.50 to USD 40 per hour.
