Coach is hiring an Assistant Store Manager I in New York, NY. Lead sales, coach the team and deliver refined client experiences for a leading luxury brand.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive store sales and profitability by coaching the team to achieve individual and store KPIs; analyse performance data and execute corrective actions.
- Lead, mentor and develop sales associates through regular coaching, performance reviews and on‑the‑floor training to ensure consistent luxury client experiences.
- Own day‑to‑day store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, deposits and reconciliation to maintain operational integrity.
- Manage inventory control and visual merchandising standards: oversee stock replenishment, planograms, cycle counts and loss‑prevention processes.
- Implement brand initiatives and promotional activity in store; ensure standards for clienteling, product presentation and customer service are met.
- Create and maintain staff schedules, support recruitment and onboarding, and ensure compliance with HR policies and labour regulations.
- Prepare and deliver regular operational and sales reports to store leadership; support forecasting, payroll management and expense control.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership capability with strong experience coaching and developing frontline retail teams.
- Demonstrable commercial acumen with experience meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing KPIs.
- Excellent interpersonal and clienteling skills with a polished, service‑oriented manner appropriate for a luxury environment.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays as required by retail operations.
- Ability to perform operational tasks including cash handling, basic loss‑prevention procedures and physical stock movement.

Experience
Typically 3+ years in retail sales with at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant manager role, preferably within a premium or luxury fashion brand.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, retail management or a related field preferred.
