Coach (Tapestry) seeks an Assistant Buyer, Women's Accessories in Shanghai to support buying, assortment, inventory and cross‑functional merchandising.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead buying activities for women's accessories: prepare pre‑season merchandising briefings, provide product development feedback, and support in‑season product launches and training.
  • Manage in‑season assortment actions including deletions, clearances, marketing communications and pricing adjustments.
  • Oversee inventory chase and end‑of‑life liquidation actions, including coordination of Coach Café initiatives and write‑off procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain routine merchandising reports: weekly sales reports, assortment master maintenance and key icon reports.
  • Coordinate merchandising projects and sample/CIIE orders; manage write‑off inventory processes.
  • Act as liaison between WLG and cross‑functional teams: align VM guidelines and visual assortments with VM teams, coordinate transmittals and incentives with Operations, and consolidate buying information with Korea and e‑commerce buying teams.
  • Compile and distribute key push and shooting lists for Marketing and ensure timely buy‑related data downloads and consolidation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (excellent written and verbal communication).
  • 1–3 years' experience in buying, merchandising or related retail planning role.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professional judgment, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Customer‑service orientation with strong follow‑through and a collaborative team approach.
