A part-time makeup artist consultant position at Clinique, operating 12 hours per week in a selective retail environment. The role combines creative artistry and technical expertise to deliver personalized, educational in-store beauty experiences. The consultant will perform makeup applications and consultations, participate in in-store events and visual merchandising initiatives, and maintain high retail standards whilst achieving sales targets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Apply makeup artistry techniques to provide personalized consultations and beauty transformations for customers
- Educate customers on Clinique products, skincare regimens, and makeup application techniques
- Participate in in-store promotional events and product launches to drive customer engagement and sales
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and product displays to ensure competitive presentation
- Operate retail point-of-sale systems and process customer transactions efficiently
- Work collaboratively with in-store team members to achieve departmental sales targets and KPIs
- Provide inspirational and authentic customer service in a fast-paced retail environment
Qualifications
- Makeup artistry certification or previous retail makeup experience (preferred but not essential)
- Demonstrated creative and technical expertise in makeup application and color theory
- Ability to provide inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service
- Proficiency with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Flexibility to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends and special events
- Right to live and work in the United Kingdom

Experience
Makeup artistry certification or prior retail makeup experience is preferred; however, applicants with amateur-level experience demonstrating high creative and technical expertise are welcomed and will receive comprehensive training.
Education
Makeup artistry certification or equivalent qualification is desirable but not required.
