The Clinique brand seeks a skilled makeup artist to deliver creative, personalized in-store consultations that educate and inspire customers. This role combines technical makeup expertise with customer engagement to drive sales and showcase product benefits, whilst maintaining visual merchandising excellence and participating in in-store events as part of a high-performing retail team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Apply professional makeup techniques and provide personalized beauty consultations to customers on the Clinique counter
• Educate customers on product features, benefits, and application methods to drive product sales and loyalty
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and counter displays to align with brand guidelines and stand out competitively
• Support in-store promotional events, product launches, and seasonal campaigns to maximize customer engagement
• Process customer transactions using point-of-sale systems and manage till reconciliation
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships through authentic, inspirational service delivery

Qualifications

• Qualification in makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to demonstrate high-level creative and technical makeup expertise
• Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
• Flexibility to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
• Prior experience with retail point-of-sale software
• Right to live and work in the United Kingdom

Skills

Experience

Amateur to professional makeup experience accepted; retail makeup counter experience is preferred but training is provided for candidates with strong creative and technical foundations.

Education

Makeup artistry certification desirable but not required; secondary education or equivalent.
