Clinique seeks a freelance Beauty Advisor for retail shifts in San Diego, delivering personalized beauty consultations, maintaining visual merchandising standards, supporting promotional events and educating customers on products and application techniques. The role is staffed at Estée Lauder Companies retail locations, with Randstad as the employer of record; it offers an hourly pay range of $24–$36 and benefits for eligible employees.

Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized, high-quality customer service and beauty consultations to in-store customers.
• Execute visual merchandising displays and maintain presentation standards across the retail floor.
• Support and execute in-store promotional events and product demonstrations to drive customer engagement.
• Maintain active knowledge of Clinique’s product offerings, features, and application techniques to educate customers effectively.
• Collaborate with store staff and team members to ensure smooth floor operations and an optimal customer experience during scheduled shifts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service.
• Ability to work flexible retail hours, including days, nights, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States upon hire or interview.
• Previous retail or beauty industry experience preferred.
• Familiarity with the retail sales environment and customer-facing service execution preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, converse with customers, handle product packaging and display materials, and frequently reach, bend, and move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 24 to USD 36 per hour.
