This on-call freelance position offers a dynamic opportunity in prestige beauty retail, where the successful candidate will deliver personalized customer service and beauty consultations across Clinique products while maintaining exceptional visual merchandising standards. Working in partnership with store teams at Estée Lauder Companies retail locations, the advisor will execute promotional events, product demonstrations, and educational customer engagements in a fast-paced environment. The role requires flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and special events, with physical demands including standing for extended periods and handling merchandise up to 25 lbs.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized, high-quality customer service and beauty consultations tailored to customer skincare and makeup needs
- Execute and maintain visual merchandising displays and presentation standards across the retail floor to ensure competitive visual impact
- Support and execute in-store promotional events and product demonstrations to drive customer engagement and brand awareness
- Maintain active working knowledge of Clinique product offerings, features, application techniques, and brand positioning
- Collaborate with store team members and visual merchandising staff to ensure smooth floor operations and optimal customer experience during assigned shifts
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service in a retail environment
- Ability to work flexible retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced setting
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
- Physical capability to stand and walk for extended periods, reach and bend frequently, and handle merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs
Skills
Experience
Previous retail or beauty industry experience is preferred; familiarity with retail sales environments and customer-facing service execution is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; no formal educational requirements specified.
