A makeup artist role at Clinique within a Boots retail environment, responsible for delivering personalized, inspirational in-store beauty experiences through expert application and product consultation. The position combines creative and technical expertise with customer engagement, in-store event execution, and visual merchandising excellence to drive sales and brand differentiation. This part-time role, working 11.5 hours weekly with emphasis on weekend availability, offers training and development opportunities within a prestige beauty retail context.

Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized and inspirational makeup application and beauty consultations to retail customers
• Provide expert product education and personalized recommendations aligned with customer needs
• Execute and support in-store beauty events and promotional campaigns to drive engagement and sales
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and brand presentation to ensure competitive differentiation
• Operate retail point-of-sale software and process transactions accurately
• Work collaboratively within a high-performing beauty team to achieve store targets and standards
• Demonstrate authentic, welcoming customer service across all interactions

Qualifications

• Creative and technical expertise in makeup artistry with ability to execute professional-standard application
• Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
• Flexibility to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
• Previous experience with retail point-of-sale software systems
• Proof of right to live and work in the United Kingdom
• Amateur or professional-level makeup knowledge (formal certification preferred but not required)

While formal makeup artistry certification or previous retail beauty experience is preferred, applicants with amateur-level makeup knowledge demonstrating high creative and technical expertise are encouraged to apply.
