Clarins seeks a Visual Merchandising Coordinator to manage skincare brand visibility, merchandising projects, category management, budgets and supplier coordination across Switzerland. The role works closely with Marketing, Product, Commercial, Retail and external partners, and requires fluent German and French.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor visual merchandising projects to ensure optimal Clarins skincare brand visibility and customer experience across distribution channels, in line with corporate trade and merchandising recommendations and Clarins’ look and feel, including permanent and temporary placements and retailer events.
  • Ensure skincare brand expression and development across the Swiss distribution network and on permanent and temporary supports.
  • Monitor trends and competitors regularly.
  • Manage budgets and project-related administration, including stock intake, orders and deliveries.
  • Deploy skincare visual merchandising tools across all brand expression supports, following brand platforms; prepare point-of-sale materials, brief suppliers, oversee visual development and installation, create installation guidelines, and manage materials and fixtures.
  • Coordinate project rollouts with partners, ensuring quality and deadlines, and support implementation through regular field visits.
  • Prepare creative briefs and manage suppliers, agencies and manufacturers.
  • Plan and monitor Opex budgets for visual merchandising activities and projects.
  • Recommend ways to optimise and develop brand visibility at retailers, including related internal processes.
  • Manage skincare projects, including floor-standing furniture.
  • Update brand visuals and expression, including Duratrans campaigns and multipurpose towers.
  • Recommend assortment updates to the Skincare Product Manager.
  • Create skincare planograms for all clients.
  • Track product performance using category management tools.
  • Manage skincare materials in stock, including display units, shelves and point-of-sale materials, and monitor their dispatch and use.
  • Track merchandising activities in master files.
  • Coordinate launch sheets related to merchandising and trade.
  • Monitor competitors.
  • Regularly challenge suppliers to improve costs without compromising quality.
  • Identify new suppliers.
  • Meet forecast deadlines, adjust orders as needed, track placed orders and ensure sales promotions are released.
  • Meet sales tour deadlines, including creating references, tracking purchase orders and preparing merchandising slides.
  • Conduct regular field store checks to understand clients and competitors and identify opportunities.
  • Lead the monitoring of trends and competitors for the Marketing department.

Qualifications

  • University-level profile; EHL or HEC background.
  • Initial experience in visual merchandising and/or trade marketing.
  • Proficiency in IT tools, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of InDesign, AutoCAD and SketchUp is an advantage.
  • Fluent spoken and written German and French.
  • Aesthetic sensibility.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Strong project management capability.
  • Interest in design and customer experience.
  • Interest in cosmetics products.
