Role & Responsibilities
- Define and deploy visual merchandising and eventing strategic plans aligned with Clarins brand identity and global guidelines
- Create creative briefs, zoning plans, and exhibition concepts for skincare, makeup, and massage categories
- Design traffic-generating fixtures, podiums, semi-permanent out-posts, and backwalls tailored to different retail formats (flagships, counters, standalone stands)
- Manage flagship opening, closing, renovation, and repair projects in coordination with Retail, Commercial, and store teams
- Conduct regular field visits: store audits, location validation, POS team training, and photo documentation
- Provide technical specifications and manage relationships with agencies, architects, and manufacturing partners
- Translate creative vision into precise technical briefs with accurate sketches, plans, technical schematics, and material lists
- Define fabrication constraints, installation requirements, and safety specifications
- Challenge technical proposals on material selection, finishes, costs, and durability while preserving brand aesthetics
- Collaborate with architects to validate technical plans, dimensions, connections, and installation logistics
- Own in-store customer journey design: navigation, shelf-navigation signage, linear displays, and sales support tools
- Test, iterate, and deploy new category-specific devices to facilitate purchase and increase conversion rates
- Manage inventory of permanent and temporary POS materials and coordinate with supply chain for deliveries and returns
- Co-develop merchandising plans and in-store activations (weekend promotions, product launches, masterclasses, recruitment events) with Marketing, Key Accounts, and E-Retail teams
- Lead operational execution of trade merchandising and activation rollouts across physical and digital channels
- Produce trade marketing materials (posters, CRM assets, traffic stoppers) and manage department store promotional programs
- Manage budgets for weekend promotions, sales promotions, capital expenditures, and operational costs; track ROI and propose optimizations
- Monitor GWP (gift-with-purchase) costs and identify cost-effective alternatives when expenses are excessive
- Establish regular reporting on KPIs, ROI, display performance, field visit photos, and post-activation reviews
- Work closely with Retail, Commercial, E-Retail, CRM, Supply Chain, Product Marketing, and Key Accounts teams
- Serve as operational point of contact for store openings and renovations in coordination with the Make-Up Manager
- Challenge and develop supplier panel to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timeline adherence
Qualifications
- University-level education (hospitality management school, business school, or equivalent)
- 3–5 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, Trade Marketing, or Category Management
- 1–2 years of retail operational experience including store opening and POS management
- Fluent in French (oral and written)
- Fluent in German (oral and written)
- Proficiency in SketchUp, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of supply chain and POS material processes (advantageous)
- Strong aesthetic sensitivity and analytical rigor
- Demonstrated project management capability
